Ponderosa Public School Ministry

known as

"DeKalb County Released Time"

we are

"Improving Public Schools

By Changing Hearts!"

Released Time Bible Classes are open to every Public School student in DeKalb County, Alabama.

Students with permission of a parent or guardian can be released from school for one class period a week and go to an off campus location and attend a Bible class.

Did you know that in America today, 50% to 70% of children in public schools have never been to church?  These kids need to know about the love of Jesus and have an opportunity to accept Him as their Savior and Lord.  Did you know that 90% of all Christians get saved before the age of 13?  We are trying to reach these students with the Gospel, through a unique program called

 Released Time Bible Education.

Max Grizzard, coordinates our Released Time Ministry in DeKalb County.

Max and his wife Sherrie and their seven children live in Sylvania and have

set-up the Released Time office there.

We have seen 165 students receive Christ as Savior since November 2002!

We have 10 schools in this county with 1,200 students attending Released Time classes each week!

The last school in the county, Collinsville will begin in September 2007!
