DeKalb County Released Time
"Changing Schools by Changing Hearts"
Released Time Bible Classes are open to every Public School student in DeKalb County, Alabama.
Students with permission of a parent or guardian can be released from school for one class period each week and go to an off-campus location (usually a church next door) and attend a Bible class.
Did you know that in America today, 50% to 70% of children in public schools have never been to church? These kids need to know about the love of Jesus and have an opportunity to accept Him as their Savior and Lord. Did you know that 90% of all Christians get saved before the age of 13? We are trying to reach these students with the Gospel, through a unique program called
Released Time Bible Education.
Max Grizzard coordinates our Released Time Ministry in DeKalb County.
Max and his wife Sherrie and their seven children live in Sylvania and have set-up the Released Time office there.
We have seen over 500 students receive Christ as Savior since November 2002!
We have 11 schools in this county with an average of 1,050 students attending Released Time classes each week!
