Our Mission is to provide guest groups with gracious "southern hospitality”, delicious food, clean facilities, and friendly service in a Christ-centered, "mountain-top" setting conducive to spiritual growth. 

Book Ponderosa Bible Camp & Retreat Center for your group's next retreat!

Bring your Youth Group, Children's Group, Singles, Men's or Women's Group, church board, Sunday School class, Choir, etc.  Conduct workshops, conferences, retreats, or camps.  Have your family reunion or romantic wedding here at this lovely mountain facility.

 

You can provide your own food and cook for yourself or we can cater your meals and serve you. The food at Ponderosa has a great reputation!
Rental groups consistently tell us "this is the best camp food our group has ever had!"
If you choose to have our staff cook for your group you will not be disappointed!  (However, we cannot cook for groups of less than 35.)

Linens NOT provided.  You must furnish your own sleeping bag or sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels, pool towels etc.

Ponderosa Facilities Available for rent:

Facilities available for groups up to 130 guests:

  • Complete kitchen and rustic dining room with stone fireplace and gas heater.

  • Beautiful 2-story Chapel building with central heat & air, and plush chairs for seating.  Restrooms, Snack Shop, & PBC Office is located downstairs.

  • Multipurpose gymnasium, heated in winter, with dormitories upstairs, bath/dressing rooms downstairs. Miniature golf, basketball goals, carpetball tables, & foosball tables are located in the gym.

  • Two dorm-room style cabins (upstairs in Gym) accommodate up to 25 people each & 1 separate bedroom "the Upper Room" with 4 bunks & 1 twin (sleeps 9). 

  •  

  • Six rustic cabins with indoor plumbing/bathrooms/showers.  6 bunks & 1 twin in ea. (sleeps 13).

  •  

  • "The Duplex" for your extra adults: each side with private bath, ac/heat. Sleeps 2 each side.

  • 6 Canoes available - River with canoe dock and fishing/swimming area.

  • Team Challenge Course, Beach Volleyball Court, Indoor Miniature Golf, Large Ball Field.  Bring your Frisbee Disc & enjoy our 9 hole Frisbee Golf Course.

  • Swimming Pool (Open May through September)

  • 300' Zip Line & The Screamin' Sky Swing

Sky Swing & Zip Line are offered at the rate of $10/person per ride (10 riders minimum).

DeSoto Falls - "#20 of 50 Fabulous Places to visit in Alabama"

Located just 8 miles from Ponderosa Bible Camp, In the town of Mentone, you can find the most magnificent waterfall in Alabama, DeSoto Falls. Dropping 104 feet into the west fork of Little River, these pristine headwaters meander a few miles downstream to find their way into Little River Canyon.
