Dress Code - Focusing on Modesty and Spiritual Growth!

Dear Campers and Parents, We are excited to welcome you to Ponderosa Bible Camp, a place where you can fully embrace your journey with Jesus! To ensure a distraction-free environment where we can all focus on our spiritual growth, we kindly ask you to adhere to our friendly and modest dress code. Remember, "Modesty is our Policy," and together, we can create an atmosphere that honors God and encourages meaningful connections.

Here are a few Dress Code guidelines to follow:

Waistlines: No crop tops. Let's avoid visible waistlines (front or back) to maintain a respectful appearance.

Underwear: To ensure everyone feels comfortable, please keep underwear hidden from sight.

Leggings or Yoga Pants: If you choose to wear leggings or yoga pants, pairing them with an oversized shirt is the best option. Make sure your shirt adequately covers your rear end.

Oversized T-shirts: If you wear an oversized T-shirt with shorts, ensure that your shorts come several inches below the longest part of your shirt.

Tops: Strapless shirts and crop tops are not allowed. Tank tops, spaghetti strap tops, and racerback tops are acceptable as long as they don't open low under the arm and show your bra.

Girls' Swimsuits: We kindly ask girls to wear one-piece or tankini swimsuits for swimming.

Middle School and Teen Week girls will need shorts to wear over their swimsuits when playing water games on the ballfield (but not needed in the pool or river).

• Middle School and Teen Week Boys: Tank tops are not allowed to be worn in the dining hall (hair).

Middle School and Teen Week Shorts: Please wear shorts with a minimum of 4" inseam for modesty and comfort.

Remember, our dress code is designed to foster an environment of respect and encourage a deeper connection with God. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive atmosphere for everyone.

Please contact our friendly staff if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Cell Phone Policy

At Ponderosa Bible Camp, we prioritize creating an immersive and focused camp experience for all our campers. We have established a cell phone policy to ensure that campers fully engage in the activities, build meaningful connections, and embrace the natural environment. This policy aims to promote a technology-free atmosphere while also addressing emergency situations effectively.

  1. Phone Collection: a. Upon check-in, all campers must turn off their cell phones and submit them to our camp staff in the Office. Phones will be securely stored until the end of the week.

  2. Prohibited Possession:  Campers are strictly prohibited from having cell phones or any other electronic communication devices in their possession throughout their stay at Ponderosa Bible Camp.  If a camper is found with a cell phone, it will be confiscated by our staff and held until the end of the camp session.

  3. Repeat Offenders: Campers who have been identified as repeat offenders, having violated the cell phone policy, will be sent home at their own expense.

  4. Emergency Situations: a. In case of a genuine emergency where a camper needs to contact their family, they will be granted permission to use the camp phone under the supervision of a staff member. b. Campers should approach a staff member and explain the situation to request the use of the camp phone. Staff will assess the validity of the emergency and provide assistance accordingly.

  5. Phone Return: Phones will be returned to campers on Friday mornings after chapel.  Campers should be present at the designated return time to collect their phones. Any phones not collected by the end of the camp session will be securely stored until the camper's parent can return to collect their phone.

Note: Ponderosa Bible Camp and its staff will not be held responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen cell phones. We encourage campers and their families to secure their belongings appropriately and take personal responsibility for their devices.

By adhering to the cell phone policy, campers contribute to an atmosphere of unity, focus, and enjoyment during their time at Ponderosa Bible Camp. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a technology-free environment and fostering an enriching camp experience for everyone involved.
