🌲 Ponderosa Bible Camp - Summer Camp Packing List 📦
🧳 All Campers Should Bring:

📖 Bible, notebook, and pen/pencil

🛏️ Sleeping Bag or twin-size sheets
▫️ We recommend a fitted sheet to cover the vinyl mattress
▫️ Don’t forget your pillow! -
🛁 Bath Towels – at least 2
▫️ Be sure to label with a permanent marker or embroidery -
🧼 Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant

💁♀️ Optional: hairdryer, straightener, etc.

👕 Casual, modest clothing:
▫️ At least 7 outfits and 7 sets of underwear
▫️ See Dress Code below for guidelines -
👟 Tennis/athletic shoes

🩴 Flip-Flops, Slides, or Crocs – required for all water activities

🏖️ Pool/Beach Towels – bring 2, and label them
-
🩱 Swimwear for the pool & river:
▫️ Boys – swim trunks
▫️ Girls – one-piece or tankini swimsuit
▫️ 👗 Swim cover-up or quick-dry outfit for walking to/from the pool
▫️ Campers must be covered and wear shoes (flip-flops, slides, or Crocs) when walking around wet areas or to the restroom during swim time

▫️ Raincoat or poncho
▫️ Bug spray & sunscreen
▫️ Non-phone digital camera (at your own risk)
🖤 Middle School Campers ALSO need:

🖤🎨 Teen Week Campers ALSO need:

🎨 Old “paint clothes” for Paint Wars

🛶 For Rafting:
▫️ Strap-on sandals or water shoes
▫️ Girls – shorts to wear over swimsuits
▫️ ✅ Rafting Waiver must be completed online before arrival (link sent by email the week before camp)
👕 Dress Code – Modesty Is Our Policy!
We aim to foster an environment where everyone can grow spiritually and feel safe, respected, and focused on Jesus.
👚 Please follow these guidelines:

🚫 No crop tops – midriffs must stay covered (front and back)
-
🩲 Keep underwear private – no see-through or sagging clothing
-
🖤 Leggings/yoga pants – must be worn with long, oversized shirts that cover the rear
-
👕 Oversized T-shirts – must be worn with visible shorts that extend a few inches below the hem
-
🚫 No strapless or crop tops
-
✅ Tank tops, spaghetti straps, and racerbacks are OK only if they don’t show undergarments
-
👙 Girls’ swimwear – one-piece or tankini only
-
👖 Girls (Middle & Teen Weeks) – wear shorts over swimsuits for water games on the field

🧢 Boys (Middle & Teen Weeks):
▫️ Tank tops are not allowed in the dining hall -
🩳 All Shorts (Middle & Teen Weeks) – minimum 4" inseam recommended

📵 Cell Phone Policy
To foster focus, friendships, and faith-building fun, cell phones are not allowed at camp. Here's how it works:
📥 Check-In Collection:
-
All campers must turn off and turn in their phones at check-in
-
Phones are safely stored in the camp office until the end of the week
🚫 No Phone Possession:
-
Campers are not allowed to keep phones during the week
-
Phones found will be confiscated and held until Friday
-
📤 Repeat Offenders may be sent home at their own expense
📞 Emergencies:
-
Campers may use the camp phone with staff permission in true emergencies
-
Staff will assess and assist accordingly
📦 Phone Return:
-
Phones are returned Friday morning after chapel
-
If not picked up, phones are securely stored until parents retrieve them
