Sharing the Love of Christ Beyond Our Borders

At Ponderosa Bible Camp & Retreat Center, missions is not just something we support — it is something we actively live out.

Through CBM Ministries, our parent organization, we have the incredible privilege of partnering with our sister ministry in Honduras. CBM has an established ministry location there, serving children, teens, and families year-round through camps, discipleship, and community outreach.

Each year, our Ponderosa staff and volunteers travel to Honduras multiple times to serve alongside local leaders and invest in the next generation for Christ.

 January – Teen Camp

Every January, our team helps lead a week of Teen Camp in Honduras.

We assist with:

• Worship and teaching

• Small group discipleship

• Games and activities

• Building relationships with students

Teen Camp is a powerful week where many students hear the Gospel clearly, some for the very first time. Lives are changed, commitments are made, and seeds are planted for lifelong faith.

 

March – Day Camp for Elementary & Middle School Students

In March, we partner with CBM Honduras to host a community Day Camp for elementary and middle school children.

Throughout the week, we:

• Share Bible lessons

• Lead crafts and recreation

• Provide meals and encouragement

• Create a safe, joy-filled environment

This outreach allows children in the surrounding community to experience camp, hear about Jesus, and connect with consistent, caring Christian leaders.

 

Fall – Community Outreach & Door-to-Door Ministry

In the fall, our team participates in door-to-door ministry throughout the surrounding communities.

We have the opportunity to:

• Deliver food and essential supplies

• Pray with families

• Share the Gospel personally

• Encourage and support local believers

These visits open doors for meaningful conversations and allow us to minister directly to families in their homes.

Our mission trips strengthen the bond between Ponderosa and CBM Honduras. We love sharing our camp experience, training, and ministry heart with our Honduran brothers and sisters — while also learning from their faith, perseverance, and joy.

Missions is not just about what we give — it’s about partnership. Together, we are building relationships, equipping leaders, and pointing children and families to Jesus.
