Weekly Media Team
Summer 2027
Do you love photography and enjoy capturing unforgettable moments? We’re looking for 3–4 students each week to serve on our Weekly Media Team at Ponderosa Bible Camp!
Throughout the week, you’ll help document the excitement of camp by photographing worship, games, activities, cabins, swimming, crafts, team competitions, and all the special moments that make camp unforgettable. These photos become treasured memories for campers and their families.
Mrs. Ann will be stepping back into a supervising position this summer, providing guidance and oversight for the Media Team. Please note that we will no longer be selling photos to parents; instead, the photos you take will be used on our social media platforms to share the camp experience with our community.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Media Team, you will:
-
Capture high-quality photos throughout the day at activities across camp.
-
Move between activities every 20–30 minutes to ensure every camper and event is represented.
-
Take both outdoor action photos and indoor photos in low-light environments, such as our gym and chapel.
-
Help create lasting memories that campers will cherish for years to come.
-
Assist your cabin counselors during times you are not actively taking photos.
Requirements
Applicants must:
-
Have previously attended Ponderosa Bible Camp as a camper or have served as a TEAM or SALT member. This position requires familiarity with camp life, schedules, and expectations.
-
Be 14 years of age or older.
-
Own and bring a quality digital camera capable of taking sharp action photos and well-lit indoor photos in low-light conditions. (Most suitable cameras cost approximately $200 or more.)
-
Be dependable, responsible, and able to stay focused on the task without becoming easily distracted.
-
Be willing to walk around camp throughout the day and work independently.
-
Have a positive attitude, serve wherever needed, and be a team player.
Is This Position Right for You?
This position is ideal for students who:
-
Enjoy photography and storytelling through images.
-
Can pay attention to details and notice special moments happening around camp.
-
Are comfortable working independently while following directions.
-
Take pride in completing a job well.
-
Love serving others behind the scenes.
Please Note: This is a ministry position that requires responsibility and commitment. Your primary role is serving through photography and helping preserve memories for our campers. Because you'll be photographing activities throughout the day, you will likely miss out on participating in swim time, river activities, and some other camp events on most days. Instead, you'll have the unique opportunity to capture these moments so campers and their families can enjoy the memories for years to come.
If you have questions about whether your camera is suitable, we’d be happy to help. You may be asked to submit sample photos or demonstrate your camera’s capabilities before being accepted to the Media Team.
Ready to apply? We’d love to have you join us in capturing the memories of Summer 2027!
